INTERNATIONAL METALWORKING INDUSTRY RETURNS TO AMB FOR 2022

It’s been four long years since we have all been able to gather at the AMB exhibition. Virtual demonstrations, video conferences and slide presentations are fine, but they can’t replace the excitement of seeing the latest advances in machine tool technology performing before your very eyes. But the wait is nearly over. AMB 2022 is on the horizon, and we can hardly wait to meet with you again. This is our first trade show as DN Solutions Europe, and we have so much to talk about. But more importantly, we are bringing to the show floor a full range of equipment from our vast and versatile product line for you to see live and in person.

All the machines we are bringing to Stuttgart have one thing in common. They were designed based on our customers’ feedback. This partnership allows us to develop models to meet their increasingly diverse machining needs. We can provide the perfect machine for every individual machining niche that allows each customer, no matter what their specialty, to create complex parts with remarkable speed and incredible precision.

The Machines

Here’s a preview of the machines that will be on display at the DN Solutions Europe booth. We will be presenting live demos each day of the show, and our specialists will be standing by to answer all your questions.

5-Axis Applications

DVF 5000: This automation-ready 5-axis powerhouse eliminates the need for multiple setups. The DVF 5000 is designed to handle diverse 5-sided or simultaneous 5-axis applications to meet a variety of customer needs.

DVF4000-AWC: The DVF 4000, DN Solutions’ next-generation 5-axis compact machining center, offers a diverse range of tailored options and maximum convenience. Enabling unmanned machining with a new Auto Work Changer (AWC). As such, it is a new part of the company’s lineup of 5-axis solutions designed for machining diverse and complex shapes.

Multitasking Centers

PUMA SMX2100ST: With the addition a sub-spindle and lower turret function in the new SMX 2100S, the PUMA SMX lineup now houses machine models with a high-productivity function, precision machining capacity and operational convenience.

The frontal placement of the tool magazine, the operation panel capable of rotating, moving

left/right and height adjustment, and the convenient ATC magazine operation panel are designed for more ease of use. The optional user-friendly CUFOS function offers excellent user convenience for operating and maintaining the machine.

Horizontal Turning Centers

Lynx 2100LYB: With an 8” chuck, a sub-spindle and a Y-axis, the Lynx 2100LSYB is in high demand. You can produce finished parts because off-center grooving, milling, tapping and drilling are all possible in one machine. It’s loaded with standard features that provide fast in-machine setup.

PUMA TT1300SYYB: The PUMA 1300SYY/1300SYYB are high-capacity horizontal turning centers with the chuck size of 5/6/8/10 inches, respectively, equipped with bidirectional spindles and upper and lower turrets. The PUMA TT1300SYY is equipped with a Y-axis at the upper and lower turret to increase the productivity up to 20% compared to the existing models.

PUMA 5100LYA: The PUMA 5100 series is equipped with the fastest and most powerful cutting capacity and the surest stability of any model in its class. Its high-capacity spindle of up to 45kW and its 2-speed gearbox structure ensure unrivaled power and processing capacity whenever heavy-duty cutting is required. The new series is also equipped with a total of 38 lineups, so users can now choose chuck sizes of 12-inch, 15-inch, 21-inch or big bore class, and a maximum travel distance of one to three meters.

Vertical Machining Centers

SVM 4100: The SVM 4100 is designed for fast, light duty machining operations. Performance is optimized to provide shorter cycle times by reducing the acceleration/deceleration times of the XYZ axes and spindle, thereby minimizing non-cutting time.

Horizontal Machining Centers

NHP 5000: Built from the ground up for rapid metal removal rates, the NHP 5000 is designed to meet the manufacturing demands of many industries, including automotive and aerospace. It’s feature-rich and configurable for a wide range of applications.

Vertical Turning Centers

PUMA V8300M with ATC: This high-performance, heavy-duty vertical mill-drill turning center was developed in response to requests from our aerospace customers for a VTC that could handle bigger parts and complete them in a single setup.

New Technology

CUFOS: CUFOS stands for Customized User-friendly Flexible Operating System. With this PC-based control, you can maximize your machines’ efficiency and harness open CNC architecture, conveniently operating all your manufacturing processes—from setup to machining to maintenance.

Energy Consumption Monitor: This application from the EZ Works program checks power consumption and carbon emission values while the machine is in one of four main status positions: cutting, non-cutting, standby and idle. Operation time, cumulative total consumption value and consumption per part program can be monitored for each state.

The New Name

Over the past five decades, we’ve built our reputation as an industry leader by focusing on Machine Greatness. Under the name of DN Solutions Europe, we will build on our legacy of difference-making machine tools with great solutions including future-forward automation, software and technology.

The “D” in DN alludes to the 45 years of history of trust built by Daewoo and Doosan, the predecessors of DN Solutions, along with DTR Automotive, the predecessor of DN Automotive (our new parent company and world-class manufacturer of tires, batteries and vibration management systems). “N” represents Now & New, the will of the DN Group to open new paths by constantly taking on new challenges now rather than being complacent about past achievements. It also means that it will begin a new and bigger era empowered by the strong synergy between the two companies that have now become one family.
